The Village of Berrynarbor
Berrynarbor overlooks Combe Martin Bay, and is a thriving coastal community with a church, little school, general stores, post office, local pub and a tearooms/restaurant. There is a free car park, a public children’s play area, and a well kept air which comes partly from its constant winning of the “Britain in Bloom” award.
Berrynarbor is a very beautiful location, and is very close to the other small villages and towns nearby of Combe Martin, Watermouth & Ilfracombe, which is about 3 miles away.
Walking down the lane from Berrynarbor you will come to Watermouth Harbour, which is where most of the local people keep their boats. This is a very beautiful piece of coast and the South West Path follows the coast through this area.
The South West Path National Trail runs 630 miles from Minehead on the edge of the Exmoor National Park through North Devon and Cornwall, past Lands End and along the south coast to Poole Harbor in Dorset.
This path is just one of the ways to enjoy this incredible coastline. There are a multitude of other activities to follow including: cycling, walking, surfing, swimming, golf, horse riding, going to the pub, lying on the beach. It’s all here!
